Grayhawk Gives Back is a program organized by the PTO and STUCO that provides opportunities to students and their families to give back to their community. There are many ways for families to participate. Fill the Bins and the Food Recovery Program are ongoing programs you can participate in at your convenience. Additionally, activities and service opportunities are scheduled throughout the year. These include service at Feed My Starving Children, cleaning up and completing projects around the school campus and, lastly, two gift drives for Echo Mountain: the Holiday Drive (students) and Teacher Appreciation Week (staff). Dates and times for these events will be communicated through eNews and on our website. Check back for more information!

Grayhawk Elementary is excited to continue the Food Recovery Program this year! This program allows all unopened food items from lunch to be donated to a local food bank. We need one volunteer/family each Wednesday morning at 8:30am to pack, transport, and unpack food donations. Your children are encouraged to come and help you pack the food donations into coolers. This could be an excellent opportunity to discuss poverty and the importance of charity.
A reminder email with further details including the food bank address will be sent to you 2 days prior to your sign up date. |
