Principal, Michelle Pavlik
Welcome to what I know is going to be an extraordinary school year! My name is Michelle Pavlik, and I am honored to be the principal at Grayhawk Elementary School.
Prior to joining Grayhawk, I spent many years in the Paradise Valley School District. I began my professional career in 1994 as an elementary teacher. Over the years I have taught grades kindergarten through sixth. I spent one year at Cactus View Elementary as the instructional coach and transitioned into administration in 2013 where I served as assistant principal at Sonoran Sky Elementary. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education, and a Master of Education degree at Northern Arizona University.
I grew up in a small town in New Mexico. I come from a long line of educators where I benefitted from a quality public education. As a matter of fact, my mom was one of my teachers during junior high school, and my uncle and father also had the "pleasure" of my company during my high school years. Needless to say, I still graduated. I married my husband, John and moved to the Phoenix area in 1992. I have two children, a son and daughter, both students in our neighborhood high school.
As your principal, it is my goal to be visible and available to our community. Communication is most vital to my role in serving as an effective administrator. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with ideas, concerns or suggestions.

Assistant Principal, Mrs. Megan Bird
My name is Megan Bird and I am thrilled to be joining the Grayhawk community! I have been a teacher in Paradise Valley for 21 years, teaching 1st grade, 3rd grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, self-contained gifted, honors, as well as STEM. I even spent some time teaching drama in middle school! Outside of school, I love to spend time with my husband Jamie and our 3 boys, Patrick (14), Michael (13), and Matthew (8). We enjoy family game night, basketball, golf, movies, and travel, especially to the beach! I am most looking forward to being a positive support to students, families, and staff this year and continuing on in the incredible traditions and experiences that Grayhawk is known for. I have been enjoying meeting students virtually and look forward to the day we are back in person!
