Night in our Museum is an annual family event that focuses on Core Knowledge and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) experiences.  This is an opportunity for students and their families to enjoy a variety of hands-on activities and explore different STEAM phenomena.  Visitors will also see student artwork, Core Knowledge and science projects, and a choir performance.  Food, drinks and dessert will be available for purchase.

Online Auction and Raffle
Proceeds from Grayhawk PTO's Online Auction and raffle support enhancements to our school's classrooms, curriculum, and grounds.  Each year our school depends on funds raised to create the Grayhawk Experience our students enjoy.  Every dollar raised will directly benefit our young learners and allow more opportunities and creativity in our classrooms.  Thank you for your support.

Science Fair
All students at Grayhawk Elementary School are invited to submit a project for display in our science fair.  Projects by students in grades 4-6 will be judged and awarded ribbons for 1st - 3rd places.

Hands-On Activities
  • Bach2Rock- Try your hand at different musical instruments, discover the relationship between music and math.
  • Glow in the Dark Night Sky– See planets and stars and where they fit into the night sky in our glow room.
  • Keep Scottsdale Beautiful- Go zero waste by crafting with recycled materials. 
  • LaserQuest- Discover how lasers work.
  • Lunar Lander Build- In honor of the NASA Moon Mission, help build Grayhawk's own lunar lander.  Pose for an out-of-this-world picture as an astronaut.
  • Meteorite Man- See real meteorites from Mars, Mercury and the Moon.  Hear stories about where they came from and how they were formed. 
  • Petting Zoo- How many stomachs does a goat have?  A llama?  Come meet our cloven friends and learn about how and what they eat.
  • Pinspiration- Let your creativity flow and create a DYI craft with help from the experts.
  • PVHS CREST- Exciting activitives provided by PVHS' Computer Sciences Honor Society and CS Council Members including:  Virtual Reality Games, Makey-Makey, Cyber-Awareness quiz, Lego Mindstorms and more. 
  • Rock Painting- Leave your mark in our rock garden.
  • Science Matters- Activities from the group that brought you Slimeology and Pop Bang Fizz.
  • Snakes- Is it dangerous?  Not all snakes are venomous, learn how to tell the difference between venomous and non-venomous snakes.
  • Telescopes- Sight astronomical wonders by gazing at the night sky through telescopes.  The Moon, Venus and Orion Nebula are scheduled to appear.
  • Vet Clinic- View normal and abnormal animal cells with microscopes brought by AZ Humane Society.
