What is a Maintenance and Operations Budget Override?
A school district’s budget is limited by law. Yet school districts may ask voters for direct funding to supplement budget allocations from the Legislature.
State law allows Arizona school districts to increase their M&O budgets by up to 15% per year more than the revenue control limit imposed by the state legislature.
Our District is requesting a continuation of the current rate - not an increase.
